Boomerang Bags Forster-Tuncurry - Donation

Our Group was recently contacted by one of the local Boomerang Bag groups - "Boomerang Bags Forster-Tuncurry" - who wished to make a donation to Breast Friends. The donation was for items or equipment to assist the women we support. After discussions with the Co-ordinator, our Group received vouchers for Spotlight to purchase the materials we require to create our satin bag gifts. We are very appreciative of this donation as the creation of the gift bags is Breast Friends biggest on-going expense. Boomerang Bags are a sewing group who make fabric shopping totes which they sell at the local markets with all proceeds being put back into our local community. For those of you on Facebook please "like" their page to assist them in an application for a grant.

QUOTA Club - International Women's Day Brunch

The annual International Women's Day brunch is to be held at Club Forster at 10.00am on

Monday, 8 March 2021. The Guest Speaker will be Christine George, Chief Inspector, NSW Police based at Taree. Tickets are available from Heather Dwyer (65575454) @ $30.00. The QUOTA ladies do a great job of organising the function and Christine George is bound to be an interesting speaker.

Boob Bus

The Breast Cancer Screen bus is back in town outside the Tuncurry Beach Bowling Club. BCNA has recorded a 37% drop in breast cancer diagnosis in 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19. So encourage your friends to get tested - remember any change in your breast should be checked.

Morning Tea - Green Point

Country Palings Petals & Pots is no longer open of a Monday or Tuesday, so as a "one off" our April monthly morning tea will be held on Friday, 30 April 2021. Please diarise this date. The change will also mean leaving travel time for any of you who have Anzac Day ceremonies to attend with family.
