LAST MEETING

Although numbers were down, due to Easter and a lot of ladies having family visiting, those that attended our March meeting had a hands-on Bowen experience compliments of our Guest Speaker for the night, Anne Schubert. Anne also shared with us some of her many experiences she has had over the years as a Bowen Therapist especially for women who have experienced Breast Cancer.

NEXT MEETING - Wednesday 4.00pm - 5th May 2021

Next meeting we welcome Tim Chapman as our guest speaker. Tim is from the Cancer Council and will speak to our group on the fundraising efforts of the Cancer Council and how the money raised is distributed to the various needs.

Morning tea/coffee will not be on a Monday this month...... INSTEAD..... it will be Friday 30th April 2021 at 10.00am at Country Paling Petals and Pots, Green Point. All welcome for a casual friendly catch up with coffee and cake!

COMPRESSION GARMENT FUNDING - ENABLE NSW

Enable NSW provides funding to eligible people for two (2) sets of Compression Garments every six (6) months to support activities of daily living and mobility of people with lymphodema. Enable NSW can be accessed online at www.enable.health.nsw.gov.au or by calling 1800 362 253 - 9am - 5pm weekdays. You will also need to discuss this with your lymphodema Therapist as they will have to order and complete forms on your behalf if funding is available for you. There is a financial criteria to meet for eligibility and depending on your eligibility there is a yearly co-payment of $100.

SAD NEWS

One of our members Maureen Lean passed away in the second week of April. Maureen used to attend our meetings some years ago with Anna Reeves (dec) when they travelled in together from Smiths Lake. Our condolences go to Maureen's family.

PINK BUN CAMPAIGN AT BAKERS DELIGHT - 6 TO 26 MAY 2021

Our Group annually support the Pink Bun promotion by BCNA at Bakers Delight, Stocklands. This year we will be helping to sell pink buns and raise funds on Saturday 15 May 2021. If you are able to come along for two hours to assist, please ring Judy Smith on 65546498 so that she can put you on the roster. All proceeds go to BCNA.

GREAT LAKES PALLIATIVE CARE SUPPORT

As part of Palliative Care week a Trivia Night is being held at the Tuncurry Memorial Hall, 7.00pm Friday, 28 May 2021. Tables of 8 at $10 per head. Lots of fun at this fund raiser with the colour theme of "Shades of Green". Tickets are available from Chris 0407914306 or Lynn 0448379008. Bring your own drinks, glasses and nibbles.
