Last Meeting
Our first meeting back for the year was well attended, a big thank you to the ladies who came along to
make our Working Bee so successful. Lots of stuffing, wrapping and chatting. The saying “many hands
make light work” is very true.
Below are just a couple of the “Thank you” messages our group has received via email & card lately from
people that have been given one of our Care packages.
“To The wonderful team @Great Lakes Breast Cancer Support Group
This was the most wonderful gift to find on my doorstep (Chemo Care Pack)
I am greatly thankful and appreciative and will use the products.
Again, thank you Thank you Thank you Suzann”
“Hi Breast Friends
I commenced my journey and treatment for Oesophageal cancer in December last year.
I was provided the welcome kit by Linda on my induction, and greatly appreciated many of the products and
advice provided. Not knowing and not knowing who to ask was daunting, and the welcome pack gave lots of
hacks for managing the experience of Chemotherapy.
Sorry it’s taken me so long to pass on my thanks, but thanks for including me and making the journey less
lonely. The little things matter.
Best wishes and keep up the great work in supporting people with cancer in the region
Regards Ben”
Judy and Lorraine attended the Forster Tuncurry Ladies Golf in December once again the wonderful Lady
Golfers have held their annual fundraiser, with the proceeds from the day being donated to “Breast
Friends”. Thank you ladies, your ongoing support of our group is very much appreciated.
Tuncurry Boomerang Bags have also generously again donated their bags for our Chemotherapy Care
packs. A big Thank you, these bags are beautifully made and the colours are lovely.
With the support of donations from our local community “Breast Friends” has been able to purchased a
Pneumatic Pump for Lymphoedema, the pump will be accessible for use through Forster Private Oncology
